Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts and Galaxy

Galaxy has been selected as a preliminary partner of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) to administrate the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts program in Centre, Clearfield and Huntingdon counties.

Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts Overview

Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA) is the PCA’s regional re-granting program, which is administrated by Council-approved regional partner organizations across the State. These funds support a wide variety of local and community arts projects and programs.

PPA has two funding streams for applicants –Project Stream and Program Stream. Project Stream is designed to make small grants of up to $3,000 for one-time or sporadic arts projects. Program Stream is designed to provide ongoing support to arts organizations and arts programs that conduct ongoing arts activities.

Project Stream

Project funding is on a year-to-year basis. Applicants may be non-profit organizations or individuals. Proposed projects must 1) have a major arts component, and 2) benefit the community. The Project Stream uses consistent guidelines and application forms created by PCA, and a regional review process using PCA-developed review criteria.

Project Stream Application and Due Date:

  • Applicants apply on-line using an “eGrant” system. (http://pca.egrant.org/)
  • Applications are submitted on-line and then must be printed out, signed and mailed to Galaxy by June 30.

Grant Period:

All funded activities must take place between September 1 and August 31.

Award Notification:

Applicants are notified in September of the funding decisions.

Program Stream

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements set by the PCA and be invited to apply to the Program Stream.
