Fundraising/Grants

Fundraising Activities:

Galaxy and its Council for Arts in Education (consisting of school representatives and community members) develop and pursue opportunities each year to raise funds that help to offset school costs.  Thousands of dollars are generated through initiatives such as:

  • Annual fund drive
  • Auction event
  • Generating business support through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, where, in recent years, Galaxy has received contributions from:
    • Hi-Way Pizza
    • Keystone Vacuum, Inc.
    • Northwest Savings Bank
    • Omega Bank
    • S & A Homes, Inc.
    • The Barash Group
Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Grants:

Since 1994, Galaxy has participated in a formal partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), which is devoted to improving the quality of arts in education across the Commonwealth. Through this partnership, Galaxy administers two grants on behalf of the school communities it serves.
