Frequently Asked Questions
Who Are Galaxy’s Artists?
The artists with whom Galaxy works are carefully selected and are provided with training to interact with students and teachers in a school setting and/or with other populations in the community. They are artists of caliber, who understand the importance of, and are committed to, the Arts in Education. Most of Galaxy’s artists are professional artists. They have spent many years learning their art form and honing their skills. As independent contractors, many make their living in this manner. Some even have professional union status. Many are rostered with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. And, in every case, Galaxy believes that each artist has something of value to offer in the education process. They energize, teach and inspire. Indeed, they can change lives!
